About the story: An alien spaceship has landed 20 years ago on Earth. More specifically, it hovers above Johannesburg, South Africa. There were 1000000/2 starved aliens aboard that because the spacecraft is now apparently manovrierunfähig, forced to live on Earth. They built for them a slum, later a wall around the slum because humans and aliens do not mix well. But even that is too much of the population, the aliens are therefore entirely to be resettled elsewhere. The bureaucrat Wikus van de Merwe is tasked to go into the slum and to move the aliens to sign (force them) that they agree with the resettlement. He comes into contact with a substance that gradually transforms himself into an alien. With disastrous consequences for him.
The aliens remind me of Cronenberg's Fly, and the fate of the protagonist is also quite something fliegig. Overall, the film is very exciting and offers a lot of action. The trick technique is perfect. There are also a lot of humor, especially black, without slipping into Silly. Some critics, however, is probably already enough to think that the film is a parody.
The motives "Ghetto" and "alien species" and to say to seduce, the film parabolisiere the issue of racism. Well, there are quite a few hints that make thoughtful, but a parable is not. I would be more than this versteigen to say that the film is quite excellent, what a cruel monster of man himself. And that it does not depend on the exterior.
