About the story: The residents of LA are awakened at night by a blue light. It is for many the last thing they see in their lives, because aliens have landed and all the people get on the ground. Really all, without exception. More specifically, they want from each only the brain and spinal cord, and indeed intact in one piece.
The film focusses on a small group of neighbors of an apartment building, trying to escape. And that's extremely exciting, because both the aliens and the humans are full of surprises.
The film borrows to War of the Worlds and Independence Day, but without patriotism nonsense, and even the hacker who robbed the powerful aliens by computer virus of their invincibility, does not exist here. But plenty of amazing special effects, explosions, between human drama and horror elements. I can not help it, I have to give it 5 stars. Although I have long struggled with me, subtract one, because I end - ultimately unsatisfying find - which is close to genius. I can not explain without spoiling it. Suffice it to say, if you're just going to chew the last remaining fingernail, the credits appear. Whether planning a sequel? It might in any case explain the many angry 1er-Rezis.
If the team ran out of ideas: Ask me the next time. I have since had what, because the audience would have hosed with enthusiasm. (Yikes, I really just wrote?)
