One thing is certain, and the introduction reminds us: Churchill recounted the events in this book are not to be taken literally (as in all oeuves matter). However, this is in my opinion a must read for any fan of Churchill since it allows (re) discover the first 30 years of his life, which formed his world view and part of his political ideas then he will implement, such a liberal approach of prisoners or his criticism of the Treaty of Versailles. In any case, written with an elegant style, this book remains readable and ressemple, by the facts related to a good adventure story.
