I noted two shortcomings:
- The gauge of the battery is not very reliable, say she sees the empty battery a little too quickly and gives the block reloaded. But the life of the battery is very large indeed!
- The incompatibility of the black screen button with Office in French. Indeed, on a US or UK computer, pressing the [B] button to make the black screen. On a French Office is [N]! And the remote sends in all cases the [:] which corresponds to the hardware key location [B] key Qwerty! Result: the key is inoperative on a computer configured in the language of Molière. While language can be changed as described in another review. I share another solution in the following lines.
Starting with an excellent commentary Tataye concerning a similar product and the bypass using another software (AutoHotKey) I configured the macro management software I had installed ((Hot Keyboard) and I could repair the malfunction of the remote control with my PPT in French simply by adding two macro keys of simulations:
- Replacement of the key generated by the black screen button by [n] ("/" appears!)
- Replacement [F5] by [Shift] [F5] to make the button start slideshow from the current slide and not from the beginning.
The two macros with the process being packaged "POWERPNT.EXE" under the conditions of launching the tool.
Finally I can control my black screen from a distance!
The only drawback of this solution is not to allow [F5] to start early in the slideshow. Well, nothing really bad with pressing the [Start] before launching a slideshow ...
Hope this helps!
