Unwrapped, installed losgespielt. Lost in the world Aventuria. Only now, after a phony by lunch time for review.
First of all: I am quite clear that one "optimal" Dosbox can beipacken Configuration none, because it yes finally to run them. Still, I prefer the game a point from, quite simply because you get by default served the original graphic of olden times - and this seems antiquated nowadays to say the least. With the right Dosbox filters can this aufhübschen subsequently, a pity that this was not set by default.
But now to remake itself:
FINALLY (!!!) you get a really complete version of all the parts - there are all audio CDs here, the advanced mode works, all patches are, and as far as I can tell, even all the manuals and an editor for the Scores. This is laudable and long overdue. Rondra gratitude - the DVD draws blank!
It gets even better: In fact, was not spilled, but padded - with the bonus material: 10 (Although I have 11 counts, but the box claiming 10) new heroes wait in Thorwal - and who is really in itself! Hard to believe that these were created really rule conforms to the Game's proprietary generator, because the values are partly HAMMER. They are not overpowered anyway, as well as the weaknesses were nicely balanced. Keyword greedy dwarf, curious Elf)
Especially liked me that for each of the new hero designed a life story and was written down very entertaining. In addition, I have discovered two short stories written very entertaining (but only the first read for half). The title "Hero Edition" sic has HDA part deserves really honest.
Among the games you need not much to say, is the three big classics of German RPG story and for DSA players anyway times duty. Since the Games of Nordlandtrilogie has managed more than any other (and certainly not a so-called "modern") RPG to offer such an abundance and Quest Handlugnsfreiheit the player. The fact that even a large Hintergrundgeschischte is told consistently, can be admired than twice the power. Incidentally, only the first part is not a real-time 3D, from "Star Trail" can switch among the options to full 3D, with Shadows Over Riva is anyway standard. The fights are of course always turn based in ISO view - as Praios willed it.
Conclusion:
One of the best RPG trilogies of all time finally fully compatible with Windows 7 & Co, and, moreover, extended with some lovely details. An absolute must-have for every role player in general and each DSA fan in particular. Who can deal with Dosbox, even the old graphics can polish again (I prefer the Adv3X filter).
