Almost perfect Staiv for beginners and professionals

Now once the magnesite 522 with 3-way head. Alone the carton of Cullmann is a feast for the eyes, I was looking forward to unpacking. A little later I was of this tripod just thrilled, it combines many functions, is very stable and the design is simply unbeatable! What I had important are the following characteristics and I'll still act like they were filled with this product:

- Comfortable working height (I'm 1.8m tall and the camera can be positioned up to forehead level, just perfect)
- 3-way head (is sometimes better than a ball head, but I can really use for other things)
- Low weight (pleasant weight - too easy, which would not look cheap, and not too heavy)
- Robust components (aluminum, stainless steel, magnesium parts, what more could you ask for the money?)

After several practice tests I could no gross defects ascertained even with fully extended legs is the tripod very safe. Absolutely stable are anyway only concrete blocks ...
More pleasing characteristics of magnesite 522 would: nachziehbare terminals; Foam padding of legs; out rotating spikes; Circular level; Hook for additional weights; shorter center column in attached pocket; etc. ...

Now to the point, who took me to a rating of 4/5 stars. Despite all these advantages and beautiful additions me personally something very disturbed: The Gewindefräsung.

Even when Nanomax 260, which I had returned, denied a thread at the top and the locking screw could never be tightened so. And when I unscrewed the head of magnesite 522, greeted me a pair of metal chips which came well out of the thread of the head. The screw of the center column was a bit tired, I saw some scratches. Something like that is very annoying, because the thread of Cullmann are really the only flaw I could find so far. Since you often, in tough everyday photographer who tightens screws firmly so that nothing moves suddenly carousel, one should not be afraid that the newly screwed could fall suddenly, as the thread nothing endures.
