I was looking for a POL filter for my small second camera (Olympus PEN E-PL1) and first some "favorable" filter (eg Hama) tested.
The problem with the PEN is that the 1442er lens rotates to focus. If one uses now a "cheaper" POL-filter which is quite stiff when adjusting, so you adjust the focus automatically, so the camera must refocus again. In refocusing the camera but the attitude of the pole filter is then adjusted again .... a vicious circle.
After I had searched many forums, I first resigned myself to that due to the laid down by the PEN technical situation of the use of a pole filter is not reasonably possible. Mostly advised against for this reason the use of the pole filter on the PEN.
Since I have several Hoya filter for my DSLR, with whom I am very satisfied, I tried again with different filter. The Hoya filter is running ease that you're not the previous focus shifted in gentle handling. This filter is made for the M.Zuiko 1442er.
In addition, the filter does a good job, as I'm used to it from the "big ones". The results are very satisfactory. Unnecessary reflections I could not tell.
All the best and I am very satisfied. Therefore, 5 stars!
