I am certainly no one to listen to a lot of disco music. But this album from ABBA, I love and where they also have really good. "I Have a Dream" and "Chiquitita" fall music most notably from the (disco) framework. And just these two songs I find the weakest; they are the reason that I gave the album 'only' 4 stars. Although earwigs, but too cheesy and tapped. In addition, it creeps me again and again with the children's choir in "I Have a Dream". The opener "As Good as New" is by contrast so flattering as danceable, "Voulez-Vous" (who does not know?) A dance floor-sweeper with an irresistible beat. The same is true for "Does Your Mother Know", which also offers a special feature: Bjorn has the lead vocals. "The King Has Lost His Crown" shows up mysteriously, "Angel Eyes" and "If It Was not for the Nights" come back ABBA typical therefore: quite simple texts about love and suffering, this wonderful harmonies. "Lovers (Live A Little Longer)" is a clever piece, the subsequent "Kisses of Fire" fetzt inexorably going on. And because it does not get so quickly enough, "Lovelight" was draufgepackt as bonus. Sandwiched but "Summer Night City", my favorite song. Just great, lyrically and musically absolutely convincing. Helen Schneider's "Hot Summer Nights" and Donna Summers "Hot Stuff" Waiting does not make it worse. An ingenious and versatile album, which has submitted since the cloverleaf!
