I really feel that many fans / fans of Neil Young gourrent damn and remain closed too (sorry if it seems a bit disdainful not my wish): this disc is nothing other than 'still Neil Young, ie this great artist to writing always rich, which also include advance here with machines of its time. Yes, the sound of the disc surprises, disconcerts, it is dated it is. But let us go beyond first impressions to realize that the compositions are always very good. Certainly this is not the masterpiece "Trans," but it's still pretty damn good. Two titles quickly stand out, "Violent Side" and "Hippie Dream" which gives me the impression of being more or less a continuation of Like An Inca (now Trans, which also benefit from a true suite, Hitchhiker on "Noise") ahem ahem ... while ... "People on the street" sounds like a soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop (this is not a compliment!) In short, if you are not the type to ask only the 70's Neil Young sauce, take the trouble to listen is a really good album. This is Neil Young. Its sequel, "Life", the Crazy Horse is the same barrel, if you like one, you'll like the other also likely. As to identify her worst album ... I will look instead for "Everybody's rockin '.
