Granted, my eight and a half year old Acer notebook is too lame, than I could really judge whether this wireless stick reaches full advertised transmission rate or not. But the fact is that my Internet before most even then crept into the city center on the 2.4 GHz band. Despite DSL 16000 and repeated channel change was surfing (in the true sense of the word) less and less possible. That has changed this stick for me to cost-effective price - on the 5 GHz band romps yet exactly --außer selbst-- me a participant! I run the stick mainly under Windows 7, but also own a Windows 8.1 PC. In this context, many thanks to the Vorrezensenten F. Ewers from Osnabrück - without your reference to the MediaTek site I would have the latest drivers for Windows 8, as well as Mac and Linux, never found (... mediatek.com/en/ Downloads /). However would have then probably --How the Vorrezensenten H.-J. (Lake Constance) - the apparently rapid customer of CSL Computer helped. The wireless stick initialized quickly and easily, even if I only belatedly plug in him after the start of the notebook (it protrudes quite far out of the machine, so I always take out him after switching to any mishaps to avoid). The pages will load (felt) a hundred times faster, and even videos on YouTube run fairly smoothly. More can be seen on an Intel Centrino M 370 (1.5GHz) and 2GB of RAM probably not expect even from the best wireless stick. For me, the purchase was a complete success!
