Ok, no fairy tale. I enjoy listening to music, like sometimes loud but sometimes consciously sensitive listening.
New headphones should be, the best ON-EAR I thought to myself, so that they are not too bulky (the design after) and go too times the go.
After some research, it should then be one of the latest models by 50.
That meant then in my case:
Favorite was: Sony MDR-ZX600 + thanks to a lot of encouragement: AKG K518LE and as possible alternatives Sony MDR-XB500 Sony MDR-XB700 or.
Order direct from Amazon is good, but even better test in advance. Practically, then, that in the local e-market each model was experienced.
The Testerei (when I really only confirm the election of the ZX600 examined) resulted in ALL on-ear models only to one: sobering!
So were the 50 set too low, or lay it on the apparently often miserable sound source?
Hm, mobile drangestöpselt, favorite songs etc ... heard by the same feeling. The former stopgap XB700 fell out because it already mega-chunky comes along and thus not at all liked me.
It took ... zzzzz ... and after about 30 minutes I ended then "further to the right on the shelf" in the 100+ models.
... And stuck for further 10min at Bose AE2. Sure, the name is known for quality - only then it would be with the estimated 50 passing. Already frustrated easily could me
inspire the headphones immediately - unobtrusive design but the sound by far! the clearest / best headphones. Bass seemed "ok" - not oppressive.
(A saying of the 200+ "beats by dre". Qualitatively and concerning the sound no alternative for me do not understand the pricing.
Even the 250 model I put after 10sec back.)
Think: Does it ?, my ears are so really, lie down for good headphones than 100 already Matsch? - Or liked by good 45min just the Bose logo?
Perhaps a bit of everything :) - definitely had the Bose AE2 the only ones with whom I could relax and enjoy music. Subjectively hoch3 precisely - without multiple testing makes the judgment does not make sense. Want here no comparison with all testers draw, many of which cost 1/3 and as I said, everything is highly subjective.
So ordered from Amazon, unpacked:
Scope of supply: simple packaging (have no "unboxing" -Fetisch - the part came to healing, I do not expect more from the packaging)
- BOSE AE2 headphones
- Detachable, thus renewable 3.5mm connection cable (2.5 mm jack on Hörersete), plug angled 45 degrees by the way
- BOSE cloth bag with elastic (ok, scratch protection)
- Paper (if you need the manual in a headset, talks not for the product)
It was by the previous test (unfortunately) not a surprise, but I liked the AE2 again right away.
I do not begrudge my ears bands like AC / DC, Depeche Mode, Metallica, but also like the 90/80 / NDW / NewAge / Goldies and if need be
Sundays 2 hours electro / minimal / house at the stop or chill-out music on the balcony ... "button on the face" may it so occasionally.
One can say it all fits together barely - but I think there is good music in many genres. (Where I and all pre-1950 "premiered" ignore classical (^^
Everything can the needs of the new deal and thus represent good accordingly.
Meanwhile tested everything - the AE2 is my legitimate claim at 140 requirements.
Without expertise: harmoniously, great heights, voices ... everything just fits my taste - excellent! Not to mention the bass ->
simply joins at AE2 and does not sting exaggerated out as in 80% of low-priced models.
(Nothing worse than overdriven bass scratching or 0815- "BumBum" techno songs - pure ear cancer) ..!
Am not a professional but that's it for now my 4th headset next to "countless" in-ears.
The price is for me pain threshold for a "headset" (the nothing else can ^^). In short, I am so happy at last and sit so relaxed on the balcony and hear what comes straight to mind - I wanted more but not at all.
Along the way, the AE2 must still prove the way only. When folded in cloth bag measures 18x20x4 cm of AE2. Smaller than thought at the neat large earpieces.
##### Conclusion:
It was at the end much more expensive than expected, the music experience is the Bose AE2 for me, however, a new and better!
Great sound, purely subjective, therefore, one should not overstate but to my ears the -> hit!
"Hells Bells (Live)" inspires me and "Seek and Destroy" / "Sad but True (live)" is just as brutal to the ear as one would at times wishes - always wonderfully voluminous but never mushy / washy.
Super clear sound with Blank & Jones "so80s" series (I love it) and just then I know that the bass is not too weak but excellent harmony. "Nightshift" by Commodores ..hört with the AE2 easy to just awesome good. Clear and resolved than ever, as in direstraits "Sultan .." / "Money for nothing" - BB King "Sweet 16" - Lana Del Rey "Summertime Sadness". Then stand firmly sure - I'll keep the AE2.
By the way, the notebook without special hardware surprisingly good sound! Mobile with a smartphone (Samsung i9100 GSII) could be set a good sound.
My +/- list:
+ Absolutely perfect: the comfort! unrivaled, even in the long run annoying nothing! / Only 140g!
+ Unagitated design, yet modern and not "old-fashioned"
+ Beautifully balanced sound, nothing comes up short
+ You get really, despite 95% plastic Bose quality - only the adjusting rail is made of metal (for durability I will add in "incidents")
+ 3.5mm cable only connected on one side, as well as spare parts can be reordered as earpieces and more.
- Price. Despite Bose and the described good sound, you must at 140 a little aluminum etc. expected -> me it would have been pleased
- Very thin 3.5mm jack cable (I know of Sennheiser, there holds been 3 years -> would still like the somewhat more stable)
- Little shielding to the outside -> no Leisetreter in public - unless you want one of those people that we all hate in metro and Co :)
Expensive but good accordingly. Only weaknesses in material selection -> lean feel - gives very good 4.5 / 5 Stars.
In the current market situation 9/2012 I would definitely buy the Bose AE2 again, also for 140!
