About 3 weeks ago I decided my regular headphones for zuzulegen go. Previously I have often listened to music on the MP3 player with InEars what had MMN not as the bearer. Now the choice is yours was my turn and I went to test headphones in some Elektrohandel. I had what requirements? Well balanced, mobility (at home I have been the Sennheiser HD555, which I use to play also for e-drum) and comfort. And I got so listen to? Bass mud everywhere. I once put my beats and have scared me that something over 40 costs - nachdröhnende, oversubscribed, uncontrolled bass. But it was not only the beats of the case - apparently this is Bassgedröhne with most headphones nowadays "in". The few headphones that I liked - except the Bose, to equal - were too high and did not sit so well. But as my eyes fell on these Bose headphones. They looked quite compact and sat really, really good. I know so far no headphones that similar sit well. I prepared myself to the bass-Schwall. And what happened? Crisp, dry, precise bass. Can not be, I thought. That is what most refer to the online reviews as "bassarm" is more like the natural bass ran the rest of the droning and booming headphones (which of course is just my humble opinion drummer). The sound is very clear in the high range and the centers are not very distorted. In depth range I can make it clear what the bass and what the bass drum plays. The stage that arises is, not very big but certainly present, you can locate individual instruments. Now I looked at the price - 130. Since I already asked around a bit before, I can honestly say that the sound is not worth 130 euros, as there are more accurate headphones. Why I have not mentioned yet? Do not fall into the categories which were decisive for me. Of course, ATH-M50 sounds better, but the comfort is not at its best and the mobility is rather so-so. What accessories are terms of Bose also not worth the price - you get only a thin bag to perhaps protect against dust. Why do I have so paid 130 euros, will ask some. Sometimes you pay the 130 for the complete package of comfort, mobility and sound, dear friends and hifi Bosekritiker. That's why I would pull no star for the high price, it evens itself out.
And now for my biggest complaint - the cable. Really, Bose? Really ?! 1. It is thin like anything, almost thinner than most of my in-ear headphone cable. Polymer coating? Bose does not know. 2. It's almost 1.70 long. What for? Either you take the mobile length should not exceed 1:50 or the Studio 3 meters long. Or both, at the price. But no, you have the rest of cable winding and because it is very thin - did I mention that it is really really thin ?! - Embroiled it like if you let it. I have, since I have ever headphones, yet had no cable breaks (I'm careful with my equipment around) but with this cable I fear a. There's a star deduction, even if it is a detachable and replaceable cable. The connection to the headset is in fact no 3.5mm but a 2.5mm, specifically for Bose-plug, otherwise I would have long ago replaced.
And yet I can recommend these headphones for people who a) natural sound like and to b) want to be on the road with headphones. Because the seat of these headphones is unique in my eyes. If there are questions, I would be willing to answer them.
Small supplement: OHIM contends that each earphone is only as good as what is feeding the headphones with sound. Exactly the reason I prefer to separate smartphone and MP3 player: specialized devices fulfill their purpose much better. And from the Apple product range I consider myself eh away, for reasons similar to the beats. On my Cowon players, the AE2 sound as described above and are not too quiet.
