My starting point:
I live in a basement apartment (32 m ^ 2). It is even in summer never hot in my apartment - which of course is very pleasant - but that also means that the moist warm air quickly from the outside to wet walls. Recently, therefore, has already formed mold behind the furniture. Add to that that I also cook in the same room and sleep, both of which lead to moisture that I get through ventilation alone is not under control. Therefore, the moisture was in the summer always between 70 and 80%.
So I was looking for a powerful dehumidifier that does not make too much noise and should not be extreme Stromfresser if possible.
From the reviews in Amazon revealed that the very cheap devices do not meet these requirements. By contrast, the reviews for this device sounded promising.
Power:
In the early days the unit is approximately 12 hours duration and 70% initial moisture, 22 degrees Celsius, more than 4 liters per day has been collected, what strikes me as very good. The humidity was after 12 hours of operation then a good 50%. Meanwhile, I operate the unit in this way for about 4 weeks, and it will only be collected about 2 liters a day, but the final moisture never drops well below 50%. My contact details for the moisture come from an external hygrometer, the dehumidifier has no display. However, it has a built-hygrometer that he used in automatic mode. But I have the unit has always operated on the maximum setting (no automatic).
Of course, the unit also heats the air slightly (about 2 degrees), because as I said my apartment but anyway never be uncomfortably hot, do not bother me.
Volume level:
Comparable to a cooker hood: Louder than a fan, but much quieter than a vacuum cleaner. For me, too noisy to sleep in the same room to be able to, but enough to be able to work during the day quietly.
Conclusion:
I'm excited because I got my mold problem under control. The unit can I wholeheartedly recommend, because it is efficient and not too noisy.
