I only use the low fan speed, as it (under my terms anyway) even dehumidified marginally better, consumes less power and is naturally quieter and can expect a longer life, I mean. The high level makes best sense when one wants more air movement, but it will cost more power (ca.30W over the small stage, incl. Active compressor needs only about 290W (something changes in the course of the operation), which under has dehumidified various conditions of 0.6-1.5 l / kWh, at high and warm humidity of course the favorable value).
What is something that bothers me that the fan always keeps on running if you set a target moisture and this has been achieved - the compressor then goes out to the humidity rises again, the fan runs unchanged (presumably so that the moisture can be better measured - I find, however, that for a very slow and power-saving fan operation would be enough, so it consumes without dehumidification yes still approximately 30W if I remember correctly; makes sense perhaps, if you want to dehumidify laundering or a wall, as the air movement more drying takes place - but if you want to keep the humidity just below a certain level, is the disadvantage).
To dehumidify the bathroom after showering me is but no matter, because there I place the machine on continuous operation with external switch power down to experience value about 1: 30h (thus, the soaking small bathroom completely dry and the towel that I the fan suspension is thereby almost completely dry; all this will cost not entirely 10ct power, what I find worthwhile - especially the bathroom is then hot as opposed to air)..
For drying clothes I did it for fun to try it out, but this has been going on at a 2/3 load of laundry for a long time and consumes much more power than a tumble dryer, as far as I can estimate that. But it's still nice to be able sometimes to dry a few items of laundry so if necessary.
The volume is acceptable, I think I do not want to sit next to it, however, a few yards distance I want there already have, better still between a closed door.
