What is the policy of Amazon in this area?

Having recently acquired a Kindle HDX 8.9 (2014) I had the unpleasant surprise to find qu'Asphalt 8 Airborne was not compatible with this latest generation Kindle (and this is just one example among many others ) .... there was no evidence of such incompatibilities in promotion pages of these tablets.

It would be wise for Amazon to strongly encourage application vendors out updates / versions compatible with the latest generation Kindle.
