But now up to the album to which it indeed goes eventually.
Musically it is quite successful, typical Foo Fighters with a touch of American music history, guest posts are well hidden and superimpose the beloved sound of Foo Fighters in any second. Whether Wasting Light has to serve as a benchmark, as is done here so often, even, dare I quite doubt (who wants to listen Wasting Light, listen Wasting Light is ... eh better for your wallet, if you love the monotony so and everything has to sound the same). Sonic Highways musically terrific, from quiet passages to the Foo hymns everything is represented and it makes incredible mood, this album up and down to listen. So, for Foo Fighters fans and people who like to listen to music in the style of Foo Fighters, necessarily access. It reminds us of the full range of what the FF have been delivered musically and can not urge corner in the "Wasting Light" ... would honestly a simple to scale, in which you could allround talents befall injustice.
Overall, for me the big picture:
Music: 8.5 / 10
Mastering: 7/10 (has been mastered quite tidy)
Pressing: 8/10 (vinyl sounds very clean, which was in previous albums often criticized rightly)
Overall impression: 8/10 (gatefold cover, antistatic envelope factory, vinyl hardly electrostatically charged ...)
Overall, the album for every rock lover is absolutely worth listening to, it has many facets and anything but boring or fall into the monotony Wasting Light, which is apparently so liked. Foo Fighters deliver them from usual quality in music and sound. TOP !!!
