The debut album of Violent Femmes has no weaknesses, to the Velvet Underground tribute at the end, "Good Feeling", it joins a strong song to the other. With simplest means great music is made, and the images are of such a sweeping vitality that it in turn gave me the Goodbye after many years no stopping. Lyrically this is a version of the American teen love with pain gloomy undertones (you can this latter very vague as a kind of premonition imagine the "Blair Witch Project", if you will). This gloomy undertones deepened on the second disc "Hallowed Ground". PS: For a live concert in Illinois / USA, which I was allowed to attend 2001 revealed that the band had more or less lost none of its Drive.
