Something worse than the Arum has come to town ...
The Department of Defense are here. If They Ever find out what daemon can do and indeed we're linked, I'm a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who's got a secret of his own. He knows what's happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard. But then everything changes ... I've seen someone who Should not be alive. And I have to tell a daemon, even though I know he's never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them - from me? No one is who They seem. And not everyone will survive the lies ...

Unlike Volume One: thumbs down. The girl on the cover looks too arrogant and as she puts the head back, the whole thing seems a bit possessive, so in terms of "Hands off, the mine". I was happy in any case that you have only seen her back in band 1. The guy is black, incidentally, better than white. Otherwise, I can only say very apt title again.
My Opinion:
The second part of the series blew me away. Many quirks, like Katy Schmachterei disappear from Volume 1, instead come new characters, more excitement and more depth in the book. The story is interesting and surprising an often unexpected, with its twists and turns. Katy Buchbloggerei that you will notice in Volume 1 only in passing, is a welcome distraction and exactly the kind of side story, when you finally realize that Katy has also a life away by aliens. (Although I am skeptical about the mass of books read, because I myself do not always manage during the holidays so much but) I can identify well with Katy. You appear more confident and is no longer apparently helpless, what the course of history once again touches the icing.
Another great improvement was the talks between Daemon and Katy. No debates but ordinary (as far as one can tell at Alien subjects) and also more in-depth conversations. The feelings for each other come as both characters a lot more to the fore and were carried away. Within a short time all former shortcomings were forgotten and I could not tear myself away from the story. It is in this band no longer about the "getting to know" the aliens, special much more to the "Department of Defense" and we learn a lot about the surrounding environment by Daemon and its kind. The information is well integrated into the story and get to finally the tension.
Although Jennifer Armentrout writes really great from Katy's view, even better to me but the scenes have in Volume 2 (and even in Volume 1) all fell at the end of books from daemons run. He seems much more sympathetic and human, as in the rest of the book, and now my mind has made him a 180 ° turn.
Conclusion:
After 99% of the annoying aspects have ceased to exist, I have to tape 2 simply enter 5 heart and I really hope to a translation!
