I had already sold but in recent years a number of small to large and have you always, because the quality of the images was indeed good, but other issues were serious and had to go small again. Ranging from the Lumix LX7, Fuji X20, Ricoh GR to last for Canon EOS M. The M has half of me than used to my wife and the operation via the touch screen is intuitive and easy, but unfortunately the speed of the autofocus is underground and thus many situations have gone out of focus in the pants. Just before Christmas I have reached with the standard kit then at the Fuji XE-2 and so far more than thrilled.
The camera is small enough (compared to my 5D) to have them always at hand. Of course there is more compact, but certainly not with the performance and the image results. The images are sharp even with the kit, detailed and it just makes a lot of fun with the Fuji retro photograph. Coming from the optical viewfinder ago is the transition to digital of course some getting used to, but this very easily and quickly merges into ff. I would even argue that just Manual focus an advantage with the digital viewfinder is noticing.
The Fuji has finally everything I for a second camera to always have wished. Very good image quality in portable size. Operation and feel are well resolved and the processing is 1A. Of course, the feel is not the same as a 5D, especially with big hands, but that should be all conscious. Settings, Wireless, continuous shooting, and the various filters are a splendor and make a lot of joy.
The auto focus speed is good and sufficient. Just after SW update just a tad bit better than before. Manual focus with peaking, or sectional image is a stunner. The Fokusnachführen to position "C" is good, but in my opinion not perfect. Maybe I am, but in this respect also spoiled by the 5D.
The small folding flash for portraits to be a bounce flash and can be easily pushed back with a finger. Because I can use on the 5D only one external Speedlite point of a small built-in flash to me was very important and led to the XE-2, since the XT 1 unfortunately has no built-in flash on board.
For a few days I have to kit the XF 56 / 1.2 R and am completely thrilled. I have the Canon EF 135 L 2.0, which is one of the best Canon lenses in VF and is incredibly well and quickly. The Fuji lens in this class is definitely the XF56, which is converted to KB to 85 mm focal length. The lens at open aperture 1.2 just predestined for incredibly sharp and Lowlight and indoor pictures of people and the like. Actually, which is part of an objective rating. Because the XF 56 but is so good and so fast and each has its joy, attaches great importance to good images, it should not be ignored even when the camera recession.
Anyone who has a little busy with Fuji and possibly thinking about a new camera makes, at the Fuji system no mistake. The pricing policy is right and just to the current cashback until the end of January is an XE-2 more than a good camera that would take anyone who wants a little familiar with the photography fun.
PS. Of course, a Fuji in Double AA (Auto) mode works very well. In my opinion, is the full picture quality, but so absent and learn a little no damage can indeed :-)
