An album is perfect when it comes to sound like this.

What can I say, the auditions were good, but not so meaningful, but this changed after the first full hearing process.
After the intro a barrage of catchy tunes, which never really subsides begins. Songs that one probably in the first 40-50 seconds. unimpressive are to go right and unfold.

In '' All These Lies '' for example you can hear the verse, then a long interval chorus, you would expect only a right main chorus and thinks that it is strange sounds of a chorus, Suddenly it stops and a melodic chorus with subsequent vocals Ulli follows. The songs '' Save Our Souls '' and '' You Walk Away '' was known already before the album released and have been very good and expectant Einheizer.

As I write of Einheizer, '' life judges '' by far the biggest highlight who is on such aggressive sound. Dark, fast, adrenaline charged, distorted vocals .... a track to spin. After 5 seconds, you realize there already where the journey will go. Very hard ingenious song, one of the hardest of Blutengel at all lately in my opinion.

In the Deluxe - version which I rate here, you can still find 8 more pieces on CD2, of which the first and last '' only '' instrumentals are.

In between, one finds the ingenious trance - point '' A Place Called Home '', the gloomy industrial held '' Wake me up '' and a great '' soft '' Futurepop number name '' Tod_Sünde '' to name the highlights.

Lyrically you need now to expect any great change of subject, the expected anybody? (I for one do not want it and do not) love and hate, life and death, pain, darkness, greed, vampires, ...... what can I say who off and on busy BE knows what is at stake.

Class also like Chris Pohl plays with his voice. Sometimes fast straight, very soulful, sometimes in style as Peter Heppner, sometimes sluggish and slow, large variety vocally and musically.

The overall impression is simply to exaggerate positive without it. Great dark electropop songs,
4 somewhat slower pieces when I leave the instrumentals. Fast hearty songs with distorted vocals, so everything a Blutengel-fan wants. The title '' Monument '' also fits this fact.

If I'd let a criticism, then that Chris Pohl frontman and mastermind of the band has almost started it alone. I mean, female vocals you often hear in the background and quietly. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but compared to the last LP's falls already on the there are many more solo numbers from him. If you are honest, and are they always were best but probably. would have as yet able to install even one or the other verse more where Ulrike Goldmann is right to listen, and here. In '' All These Lies '' as mentioned above for that is perfectly managed.
