I follow Paul since the late 90s. Hab as a producer always accompanied its development and so experienced some danced by night with his club gig's.
Icke again is for me an album "to the hype."
What should not be meant negatively - on the contrary. It is great. Paul has managed the club culture to preserve it. Of course, "danceable" the tracks are not mandatory if a DJ wants to incorporate into his set one or the other, but that they must not also. (!) You still work all who want to dance on it -can who want to chill out - can. It is the diversity of the enthusiastically.
In my eyes, the album is the perfect complement to his Berlin Calling pieces. Really interesting it would be if Paul now comes with the new album on tour. All tracks from "Icke Wieder" fit wonderfully in his live act concept. Determines exciting to see how you mingle with the Berlin Calling tracks. Anyway, Paul now has a lot more options "stress wave" to produce in his performances, as he has access to a much broader range - which is likely to make it more exciting for the listener on the spot.
The album works. At home on your PC at work, on the living room Hi-Fi & (especially) in the car, in magnificent weather.
The track with the most "potential" (the probably most likely to Berlin Calling sounds rankommst should "be good Nitzwerk"
"Schnakeln" recalls (certainly not by chance) with name and structure very very very at Huge & Pepps' -. Snabeln
"Little Bubu" has many elements of Mollono Bass. I do not know that it is Paul .... I would have bet on Mollono.
Great Album
Worthy successor.
Eben an album against commercialism.
Thanks Paul you you remain faithful and are not lifted, like many others before you.
