Also note that I work only with the Windows environment and that my review does not address the use under MacOS.

Detailed impressions:

# On the printer:
The unit is very compact (especially in width), occupying only a limited volume on the desktop.
Overall, the printer is easy to install and use. Install the included software, connect two cables, load a roll of labels and your printer is ready to use.
Printing is very quiet (especially when compared to the noise emitted by traditional ink jet printers), extremely fast and so far I have not encountered any jam. The result is generally very good, with excellent print quality ... but in monochrome (thermal printer requires)
The only requirement is that it must change the roll as soon as one wants to work with a different format from that of the previous print. Also understand that if you want to work with X number of formats, you need to buy, store and X juggle separate rolls.
Being a thermal printer, know that there is no or toner or ink cartridge to be replaced .... but as I've said before, printing is possible that 'black.

# For specific software and printing from another software:
It is advisable to install the software on the CD, which facilitates the creation and printing of labels of various sizes. The "Dymo Label 'software presents a functional interface, pleasant to handle. You can either create his A to Z labels, or be based on predefined templates. The software also offers a clipart image library suitable for packing and marking, and also manages an address book.
Note that it is possible to print labels directly from other software in the same way you imprimeriez a document on a normal printer. But for best results, it should ensure that the document presents dimensions adapted to the desired label, especially when your document contains "sensitive" elements such as bar codes or QR codes. Indeed, it is sometimes wise to "rework" the document to optimize rendering and avoid any changes.
