For this last volume, the focus is placed so essentially on these three characters, and even more specifically the Miho-Mashiro couple, as well as could be expected. The authors délayent a bit (too?) Sauce so we consider that the dream is really completely archi-directed. Unfortunately, therefore, the gags on Hiramaru, Nakai Fukuda or become scarce. Even scenes that might be emotional prove disappointing compared to those that had already been read before: not really Hattori congratulations for the realization of their dreams, the RV with the direction of Jump, although announced completely goes out the window in favor of a kind of final sequence-portraits where we review all the secondary characters as if to say goodbye, the ultimate confrontation with Eiji is rather frustrating, etc. Strictly speaking, the scene where Mashiro collapsed on the floor of joy, misty eyes, we mark a bit, and the last chapter is still touching on a very shojo mode.
Finally, the authors multiply in the design recalls the first volumes by taking some boxes, and the comparison with the current drawing is not in favor of the latter. It's even in those pages we see how the drawing is simplified to switch to a virtual gag-manga style. Too bad. Those who would find the virtuosity of Obata had better go take a look at diptych seinen (completed) All you need is kill, which was also adapted into a movie starring Tom Cruise in 2014 under the title Edge of tomorrow.
Do not spoil our fun: to the end, the series is very good to excellent. Simply, this high level called a final fanfare and it was just right to the equivalent of a chamber music CD. Not bad, certainly, but it is disappointing after 19 tomes fly high. I limit my notes for this volume to 3 stars, but in reality, the total score of the series is at least 4 or 5.
