One thing first: you need time and a clear head if you want to take this game for the first time in attack. This must not be underestimated. For the first test we needed just under 4 hours and have thereby completed the game after 2 rounds instead of the planned 4 rounds. In between, there was a moment where we - almost did pack up again - slain by the rules and the different moves. So definitely not a game for the impatient!
Due to the complexity and above all the need to always remember quite a few moves further, it is our opinion, not necessarily for children over 12 years (as recommended) playable. Of course, exceptions prove the rule!
But from the beginning: we really liked that the game takes place in a different setting times. Slowly one has yet had enough of the Middle Ages and other dealer and Fantasy games. Since then some "tangible" as an underwater station but once again a refreshing new idea. The course came in the male players are particularly well - they could but little robots (bots) program and bring submarines in position.
The game requires a lot of space. The main reason is that you do on different playing fields (Research Station and headquarters) his face and next to it still operates its own laboratory base which it is expanding. A correspondingly large table, it must therefore be already. After the first cutting of the whole particles, we found them to be positive, that sufficiently small, resealable plastic bags lay this to also be able to maintain order in the game utensils future. We know that, unfortunately, from other games (eg. Settlers) differently.
Some confusion caused in us initially that a yellow Bot was too much of it. The remaining number of game pieces fit, however, and therefore it does not matter if the game were, something "extra" came with.
And then it was time to build up ... And it took ... The game manual is quite clear, but because of the complexity, but each step was not always immediately clear. In addition, it is not always easy in the beginning, the individual terms to keep them apart in so many different tiles and fields. Here is a lot of stamina in demand! Also get detailed explanations of the individual playing fields in the Manual only one side to the assembly instructions. So it pays to read from across! Since we were in the meantime quite desperate, we sought help on the internet and were able to find on youtube under the playtesters "Hunter & Cron". The two explain in 15 minutes, the essential moves, so that one first has a rough idea of ​​how the game works per se. If we had applied actually as much stamina without this declaration to reinzufinden us, I doubt it ...
But if you have even the basic structures understood, then one recognizes with each train more, which matches potential Aqua Sphere offers. After the initial hesitant rounds we have put energy are quite fast and you try possible to plan ahead and build his tactics. It is at the beginning again and again become painfully clear in the interim reviews, which tactical mistakes you made in the previous round, because a lot is only revealed then.
So: practice makes perfect! ;-)

Conclusion: Very complex, but perhaps because of very interesting game! Yet one need staying power to get in first and discover all the dodges. It is worthwhile, however, and brought at least 2 to 3 hours a nice game night!
