Live Damnation (Audio CD)

Customer Review

On 22 November 2008, the old British thrash metal band Onslaught has finally recorded their first live album and released on CD / DVD for posterity in sound and image. The recording comes from the Damnation Festival in Leeds, England.

Onslaught started in 2007 with the album "Killing Peace" a new publication, which struck like a bomb in the thrash metal sector. Rarely there had ever been previously a better disk in this genre, which was accepted by the fans around the world eagerly.

In the 80s Onslaught were first with the album "Power From Hell" and the second thrash masterpiece "The Force" known worldwide. Unfortunately the band after the next album "In Search Of Sanity" In 1991 disbanded.

It has in recent years determined no longer Bandreunion given that than is worthwhile failed by Onslaught.

With the song "Killing Peace", "Destroyer of Worlds", "Seeds of hate" and "Burn" four new pieces of the current disc are represented. But even the old thrash masterpiece from 1986, "The Force" is honored with the songs "Demoniac", "Metal Forces" and "Let There Be Death" due.
Of course, must "Power From Hell" from the first disc of the same name is not missing - then still without Sy Keeler as a singer.

The sound is well mixed and is clear and punchy out of my loudspeakers, just as it should be.

The "back" of the Silberling includes a DVD selfsame Concerts of Leeds with the three songs "Killing Peace", "Destroyer of Worlds" and "Let there be death" that are visually and in sound technology as quite successful to evaluate. Longer band interview follows it yet, which is sometimes quite interresant.

The only negative point would be noted that the time of the CD is unfortunately failed much too short, but has yet to offer a lot of class.

Conclusion: the purchase worthwhile. Scarce five stars is well worth this disc.
