As usual, the video training software comes on a DVD in a wide Amaray Case therefore, overpacked in a slipcase, including a hinged lid with information about the contents (table of contents, sample images). The DVD is filled with 7.6 GB and almost to the max!
The program's main menu is very clearly structured and intuitive. Who is more common on the internet on websites on the go, will find their way here very quickly. Links There is a main navigation with entry points to each chapter (14 in number), at the top of a second menu with the option for bookmarks, a keyword index, with links to the relevant chapters, a Help submenu and general settings (Start option, Video quality, progress delete). In addition, to get from here also conveniently immediately to the practice files on the DVD and the videos just copy to the iPad, these are already available in MP4 format.
The main menu of the lessons is extremely well done. One chooses a main menu item and it will open up an immediate right next to another menu with the corresponding sub-chapters. It also displays a short info and a screenshot on mouseover on the individual links, so you know immediately where you are or will very quickly identify the right exercise. Very simple but efficient operation. As from this first video training usual high quality!
The chapters are logically. From entry-level to the image browser Bridge to basics in the use of Photoshop, the Camera Raw development, basic corrections such as exposure or color to more specific topics such as image looks retouching, sharpening, cropping and perspective form is this quasi normal workflow. Of course, not always include all of these steps. Similar to the book you have for each specific task a video tutorial, it will not be dull explained all the menus, etc., but one learns when and why you are doing something specific. So you can fine understand how to work with Photoshop and not just as one might theoretically. Pro "exercise" are working here in a different image. Use can woman Jarsetz always well followed, she speaks in a pleasant volume and speed. Your screen can be seen very well, it's as if you were sitting at your PC (I have tried several times out of habit to click a menu in the video, because I thought it would be an open in my window because I participated in the exercises in parallel have ;-)) There is always the possibility to easily set a bookmark to return to that exact point can. These are managed through a previously mentioned menu at the top.
Conclusion: The training has me once again very much. I also know the book by Mrs Jarsetz to Photoshop, but the video training is simply a different, "more comfortable" way to learn. And in my opinion not nearly as strenuous. It is excellent for beginners like me as well as advanced users. From me the full five stars because I had no time to feel it would be something missing, neither the content nor the quality or service. Thanks to the tutor for the effort, and thanks to Galileo design for another, great and interesting video training!
