This book plunges us into a nineteenth century not necessarily well known people of our time, and allows us to clearly identify the political struggles that have filled. The description of the men, their struggles, their work is made very accurately, writing is accessible and easy to read. Although the book is long and consistent, the voice of freedom should be in every library of those interested in history, and who wishes to learn more about intellectual engagement before the twentieth century. We rather regret not having information about the Dreyfus Affair, the author has chosen to deal in the "suite" the Age of intellectuals.
Congratulations to Michel Winock, which might, however, be a little more give details on the fact of choosing "those involved" in his description.
