The set is very well documented, the author is scientific in its approach, and the whole is really interesting. This is unquestionably a founding text of osteopathy, whose translation is quite good.
However, there are things to complain, starting with the edition: the print quality is rather poor, shells persist (even though it is a new edition), the layout is rudimentary, the text refers an end of the book index that is absent ... all really gives a first impression of sloppy work. Of course, we do not buy such a book for the object, but even the repeat, I would have preferred that the forms are made there. That did not matter much. What I find regrettable by cons, it's a real overhaul was not effected because the text of the book is actually a compilation of articles or lectures, and this means that much of the information are repeated in different chapters (since everyone was basically designed to work alone). Repetition is certainly an effective way of learning, but I would have preferred a less redundant text and built to be read in one sitting. Finally, the last point deplorable in my opinion is the lack of data refresh: the author is exclusively based on medical knowledge of the time and often refers to experiments conducted by him in the second half of the twentieth century (around 1970), announcing their results are close; I would have liked a second full edition and updates these data, for example with the results of those famous experiments that were in progress there are 40, and integrates advanced theory of current research in neurology.
In summary, this book has many faults in my eyes (lack of data refresh, simple collection of essays rather than text monitoring, redundancy of information, not edit the height of the structure ...), but it nevertheless remains an essential for any osteopath and the data found there are really fundamental. I advise against this book by people who do not have a minimum of medical knowledge (anatomy, basic physiology ...) because it is quite technical.
