Something technical:
As the sensor NX 300M uses a current 20 Mpixel APSC sensor. For a contrast AF AF phase is added in combination. This allows fast focusing using contrast AF 247 points and 105 phase detection points. In the center of the sensor, there are three cross-type sensors. Autofocus benefited from so-called "hybrid AF", as specified short range 0.19 seconds to focus on it. Exclusively focusing manually is of course via the selector switch on the lens and the integrated focus ring also possible. Here, the NX300M a five- or eight-fold magnifying glass and a peaking. As a maximum shortest exposure time is now 1/6000 sec possible. ISO settings can be selected from the usual 100 to 25600 high! Series images in JPG format are 8.6 s images possible in RAW format with the rate expected / drop off something. In RAW format image to fall per 20 MB, in JPG, it is at the finest resolution approximately 8.5 Mbytes. A fleet SD card is recommended here, for example, I use a "Class10 SDHC UHS-I" with about 45 Mbytes / sec write performance.
The system camera is equipped with Wi-Fi and NFC, and can be combined with the smartphone or tablet device. In conjunction with the "Smart Camera App" and the "Remote View Finder App" can NX300M transmitted not only images on the cell phone, but also from your mobile device to be remotely controlled. The first remote controlled Photography I managed after a few minutes of set-up time. Those who do not yet know, can all recall vividly WiFi capabilities with a "Smart Camera-Learn-app". Of course the camera also images can be transmitted directly to Facebook, YouTube, Picasa or SkyDrive.
For Creative:
The NX 300M offers a fully automatic and semi-automatic modes, the standard (time and Aperture Priority), a Program (P) and a fully manual exposure mode (M). There is also the smart scene mode many different opportunities for creative (portrait, fireworks, panorama ... etc etc). At the lens, there is still the IFN-switch for the aperture priority mode. The more "Wi-Fi" option lists all wireless modes. In addition, lots of filters for image effects have been integrated.
Image Quality:
The picture quality of recordings (kit lens) falls good to very good, the colors are more natural and the noise is low. It was not until ISO 1600 (in low-light environments) the image noise is clearly visible and the noise filter must intervene something. Only in well-lit shots even an ISO value to 3200 is my subjective sensation to be used. Up to this value, quality Din-A can make 3 prints properly. That's quite good, but there are APSC sensors that create the ISO to 6400. Here Samsung can ensure its sensors continue to evolve.
I once provided some customers pictures, unfortunately, come clean the details in the Amazon compression is not so much to bear!
The OIS III kit lens is superb picture stabilized!
Video:
Video recordings can be made with 50 full frames / s in Full-HD resolution. It can now also connect an external microphone via the hot shoe. The image quality of the video falls subjectively good to me. The autofocus works very precisely and regulates quite quickly after. The autofocus on this camera is not really audible, which is great!
A few abnormalities:
The monitor moves in dark environments the picture very clearly to! In full-automatic mode, RAW can not be activated (?). The record button for video is a bit inconvenient mounted near the thumb rest, I'll often times accidentally because it ... Charging the battery with the included charger only via the USB port and much too short cable possible! A spare battery is always wise, but can be for the time being only in charge of the camera. The panorama mode is very easy to do but I do not so far succeeded in not a single sharp image, but only on the edge ...
Conclusion - The NX 300M is a small update of the NX300: It has a well in the hand lying, pretty fancy camera housing with movable touch screen, which offers as a highlight "Self Shot feature". The image quality and low-light capabilities of the sensor offer good to excellent image quality, but in my opinion, correspond to today's demands, the right to put on a current APSC sensor. Up to ISO 1,600, the images show little noise and also the reproduction of detail is very good. The relatively easy to use wifi functionality and the right intuitive menu completes the good impression! The camera focuses on the basis of their feel and features probably the ambitious amateur photographers. Due to the current price (in March 2014 nearly seven hundred euros) it is enough for me not for 5 star (see abnormalities), 4 stars go but OK After my experiences in the last few years, however, be assumed similar to the NX300, by a rapid drop in prices. When NX 300 there were, for example, one year nearly 50%. Here, everyone has to decide whether waiting is useful itself. Who would possibly save some, but still roughly comparable image quality or similar features could not live without, could currently access also to the almost equivalent NX300.

Addendum on 13/09/2014:
The camera has proven itself in everyday life, I suppose, because of their compactness, very happy with on tour. The images are consistently good to very good, are actually comparable to my DSLR 550D kit lens! The compact flash is still a little weak, for example, to lighten in backlit but ok. As the price has now fallen even within 6 months already to 48%, I can recommend the camera highly and would not see the previous NX-300 as an alternative. (Price difference is too low). Samsung optimizes the camera for regular firmware updates, I have the NX300M been updated 2 times.
