My impression is that LP has deliberately again for another "new" style chosen.
There are now almost no electric + HipHop more, instead only "real" instrument sound in the style of Hard Rock / Punk
Here you get to hear again harder riffs and more drums. (Slightly in the direction of "System of a Down")

I hear again the "eingeschfleischten" fans lament that this is no longer Linking Park and only commercially and so on. (But are not these fans the simple?)
All nonsense, the band just goes with the times and developed still further.
And you may also catch a listener times new things.

To describe this album is really difficult, and to buy from a review I would not recommend.
Can any recommend - simply listen (dealing with here, quite good)
If you like not the same, quiet a 2nd, 3rd or 4th check it out.
In the beginning it was not particularly convinced me, but after 3 complete run of the album I am now really excited.
