Passions on the issue being discussed benefits long, it is possible to treat serenely and the educational qualities of the author stand out brilliantly: clarity in the composition of the work and the presentation of various doctrines "orthodox" and "heretics". The book is a very useful vademecum for all those interested in the subject, do not have time to read the Church Fathers in the text.
The bibliography, announced as "selective" is actually quite summary. We regret the absence of a map of the Roman Empire, a chronology and a summary index of names, which would have made the consultation of the book easier.
