1. Anders is the heating technology: Heating is not with alternating current, which flows through metal wires, but with direct current and a carbon fiber mat.
a) The DC: AC generates alternating magnetic fields. Whether that affect the human body or whether they affect him more negative than or DC, is sometimes debatable. In any case, this cushion is heated with direct current. Work is here with a voltage of 36V. But this also means that there is a power supply unit. This needs to be thought about as with a commercial laptop. The power supply is connected between the socket and the small black "control box", with which one controls the pad (see below). The cables are long enough so that the power supply, for example, may be next to the bed or the couch -. Depending on where you use the cushion. The power supply is also extremely warm and grunts. I hear but only if I the ear directly on lege, so it's not really noticeable or interfere. The power supply can be seen on the product photos only 1x and very "clever" photographed. I have therefore taken another picture of it.
b) The Carbon Matte: That's very flexible, almost soft and small, with two each 1-2 cm long and only a few millimeters wide firmly "stick" without disturbing spots. The whole So you can wonderfully wrap around her shoulders. Even if one puts forward, expresses nothing or interfere in any way. Very pleasant! Much better than the sometimes unruly, thick and inflexible other heating pad that I've ever met. For me, the main selling point, because this "comfort" is really great!
2. Anders is the operation and control:
a) There is not just three or four heat settings, from "slightly warm" to "grill master", but a "programmable" box with digital display. With this you can adjust both the time (from 5 to 60 minutes in 5 increments of 5 minutes), and the temperature (the exact degree from 35 ° C to 70 ° C). Unfortunately, there is no continuous operation - in my opinion a disadvantage, because I like to sleep with the pillow and then, of course, sometimes more than 60 minutes ... In addition, the service is also a bit more complicated, as if I'm just between must decide three possible heat settings. Really difficult, it is of course not, adjust the pad correctly and the last setting is retained, so you just have to turn it most easily - at least as long as the whole was not disconnected from the mains. But just for the elderly or if you perhaps can see bad, the three stages are perhaps more an advantage than a disadvantage. In addition, the thing beeps at every keystroke - annoying, when to use it, especially at night and in bed next to someone sleeping. Finally, the display is not lit, so you can not read in the dark.
b) The heating pad is actually controlled by the control box, ie the cushion there is a temperature sensor and as soon as the desired temperature is reached, the heating is switched off. If the temperature falls below the desired value, is reheated, etc. So we really kept the temperature very accurately, does not fall to 2 degrees below the set point and crosses out his little and then only by 0.5 degrees. The make so far as I know very few devices, the three-step guided instead simply "little", "medium" or "much" power into the pillow without the temperature plays a role. This means then also that the heating to the low level takes a long time or that "medium" already can be under a thick duvet soon correct "hot". This cushion has reached the desired temperature very quickly (about 3 minutes) and keep it exactly. Conclusion: The regulation of the temperature I really like in this pad, it's fun to be able to adjust the straight optimal value for me for sure.
3. Anders - at least as at the heating pad, which I know so - is also the reference: Although made of 100% polyester, but feels very soft, fluffy and pleasant on the skin overall. What me is very irritated the lack of washing instructions. I just hope you can wash it by hand at least. Whether it will actually be better in the long run, than a simple cotton cover is to be seen.
4. One last "other point": The operating instructions are only in English ... but the company is sitting in Switzerland, and is next to a Taiwanese and a Swiss address.
Sun Short summary complacent?

? DC really better than AC?
Whether one is so like this heating pad or rather it sorted as "gimmick for Techies", then everyone has to decide for themselves in the end.
Oh ... one more thing: I bought the pillow here on Amazon with Prime quite regularly (so no special action, or so) for 45.00. Currently - not three days later - is the Amazon price suddenly at 59.99 - the only way for info ... maybe it's worth it so, to look for cheaper deals.
