For the living room, I was hesitant for some time on whether I set up more boxes or want to drive a combination of hi-fi and sound bar with the Playbar.
Main obstacle was the first here often criticized lack of DTS.
Ultimately I have the Playbar testhalber ordered and keep gratefully.
By design is even a good new flat screen TV as the do not mean therefore the best sound. The Playbar provides for regular TV is a really significant improvement in the sound.
Features I really like:
* Night Mode. One hears leave everything well and clearly without loud noises participate the whole house.
* The bass and bass come out very nice, better than the PLAY5 boxes. This thing has a really great and rich sound. On television. With music. Even on its own without sub and Souround construction. Personally, I do not need a sub. The depth of Playbar is perfectly adequate for me. (My neighbors will thank me!). A friend of mine runs the Playbar with 2 satellites and has the testhalber ordered Sub returned because it gave too much to Bass for regular use.
* Voice enhancement mode for purely spoken programs is also impractical.
* Easy to use with the TV remote control. One can i, dR persuade its own remote control to adjust the sound on Sonos. How this works is described in the instructions.
* Automatic dissolve the grouping at the start of the TV. Did I hear music in every room and the Playbar is part of a group with other speakers, it is automatically taken when the TV is switched from the group without that I would have to take care only of sound on TV. This makes switching between music and television very comfortable.
As for the sound on the TV is the Playbar solo a good to very good Soundbar. The fact that it is the very large living room-filling supplied with music and added switch to sound the entire dwelling can, so I ultimately are only 1 box in the living room and it is very comfortable to switch for me the ultimate reason why I have kept. The sub acts so powerful that I will define it to me in any way. So I'll never get anyway in the Breduille, not being able to draw out the most out of the system. By 2 satellites can be the Playbar give more depth. However, the only act thoughtfully when you sit on the bed and does not move in space. So rather for television. This works even without a sub perfectly and with good results.
I understand that it disappointed theater enthusiasts if not favorable combination is not the most out of BluRays brings out from Playbar, sub and satellites or does so only with tricks. Those looking for a multi-functional, good soundbar unit and Sonos music like uses, will nevertheless have been thrilled about it.
As my claims are met in full and still very reason full 5 stars.
