Another great Marcel Pagnol movie script!

We find the humor and poetry of great Pagnol enough to serve this classic story of Giono (A young country girl seduced by a young man from the city with him. It turns out that it is pimp, and she is obliged to prostitute herself. She'll be out of the woods by Saturninus, the servant of his parents' farm and a farm worker in love with her).

A good film with Fernandel in the role of Saturninus was made according to this scenario.

A very pleasant reading (with a very different atmosphere from that of the original novel by Jean Giono).
