My opinion of the game is strongly divided: On the one hand the still great atmosphere of the game, which are - in my opinion - great story and some nice new features. Well done, I find the possibility to import its old character from ME1. Even that Normandy has become larger and more complex internally, is for me a clear advantage and the interaction with the other characters (such as the impact of morality). After initial doubts, I also found the new combat system in order and am also thrilled that you get the experience points now only for solving tasks and not per opponents. Otherwise the game features some creative side quests and an appropriate graphic.
I was pleased also about the integration of elements from ME1 - I am old friends met and it was itself based on my actions. Every now and then there was then also a Schmunzler, such as when I have several stores exactly missed the same slogan "My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel" And for even got a model points ^^
So why "only" three stars for a game that has really excited me? Unfortunately, unfortunately, there were some points that have greatly disturbed me during the whole time:
1. Control:
I switched directly from ME1 to ME2 and was first quite confused, because large parts of the control have been changed. To interact suddenly find, sprint, run for cover, jumping over the cover ... on a single button. Certainly that has purifies the control, but for me personally it was completely unnecessary.
Another problem is that although great tutorial pop-ups are displayed, but not my view these changes in the controls. Instead, it said that "press Shift left to perform a miracle", although I have given to the 'q' key. why this? In ME1 it has but also works ?! And please do not tell me that there is a patch for it. I'm not a fan of Patch craze, the causes already in the week of the release two patches are there. Of course, I realize that it is impossible to test software for all hardware configurations, and that this error be known until after the sale. Such an error here, however, is to intercept a simple test and therefore unnecessary ... whether it is fixed with a patch, but I do not know
2. Resources ...
Research is ansich a great and creative idea, but unfortunately I need for resources. Well, that is per se not a bad idea, but the degradation of these resources really made me annoyed. I fly there at some unknown planet, prefer eternal long the cursor over this planet in order to tap these resources and to recover with probes ... Oh, and I must fly back into a sector with depot every few minutes to add new probes / create fuel. Here, I ask myself, what have been thinking the developers. That has to stand still, that such a blunt "work" to boredom leads ... in my opinion, that encourages neither atmosphere, nor any history, but is only an artificial lengthening of the season. An alternative would have been desirable here ... I would even give me happy that I can be exploited a planet "automatically", but a few less resources get ... what do I have my crew?
This has taken me personally the replayability completely.
3. Manually navigate
This too may be a creative idea, but personally I's has not responded. I find the prospect of partially ugly and the feature itself quite unnecessary.
Conclusion: A game with nice story, good atmosphere, but also clear weaknesses.
