Antenna socket without function

Was delivered to me by a Northern European provider branded Stick (other color as pictured).

The CRC-9 connector was (internally not connected or disabled by the provider firmware) unfortunately without function. Plugging and unplugging the antenna did not (!) Change in the signal strength (measured with MWconn). Compared with 2 sticks of type HUAWEI E353 (branded by "3" and "A1", both purchased from Amazon) with an aerial socket and tested with the same external antenna (at the same location) and the same SIM Cards. The E353 + antenna bring> 10% improvement in signal strength, so a clearly measurable and verifiable improvement.

The E1820, I had to return it because it did not meet the specified product features. Since other HUAWEI sticks very well work, I suspect that on this stick firmware has been deployed that do not operate the aerial connection.

If I had not had the opportunity to compare the stick directly with others, I would "blame" the antenna and if the result with "unfortunately does not work" well accepted.

For me a clear deception, therefore only 1 star (this is * not * Rating of HUAWEI products with which I am satisfied äußest else!).

It can not be that it is a lucky question whether the antenna connection is working or not! Very annoying!
