Sure, hardly comparable to the Spice Girls success, but Geri Halliwell has proven that it is, they are ideally go.
As it seems, though musically? With popularity of so many at the time, it is of course clear that Geri would not sell a few CDs. This I thought so when she announced her solo career. But has their music quality ????
Mmmmmmh, yes definitely. Okay, now it has no voice alá Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc., yet her voice is pleasant. Sometimes maybe a bit thin, not always make the right tone line but this only in the rare case. The songs that they can sing writes. And exactly here is the crux. She writes in her songs with !!!
Okay, how are their pop songs that she co-wrote?
Clearly, easy, commercial, radio friendly, solid >> just POP!
Nevertheless hearted and voices.
"Look At Me", the first (hit) single from the album won me over immediately. A rhythmic, energetic song, 60s-like, like Shirley Bassey. In the similar score + incl. The custom at that time Latino sound, travels the Latino ballad "Mi Chico Latino" who even went into GB at # 1 on the charts. I arrived, after all, this is the stärktste track on "Schizophonic", the first solo album of the ex-Spice.
Also liked my song "Lift Me Up" (a really solid, something soulful, hearted pop ballad), "Someone's Watching Over Me" (also a soulful pop ballad), "Bag It Up" (funky dance pop at its finest + Part 2 of Spice Girls song "Who Do You Think You Are"), "Walk Away" (quiet, thoughtful ballad) and "Let Me Love You" (rhythmic track).
Something failed, I think, however, the tracks "Sometime" (the song contains a terrible Bridge before the chorus) and "You're In A Bubble" (Okay, the track may be perhaps witty, but does not go right ear and feel since probably not in the ear canals!)
"Goodnight Kiss" on the other hand is still okay.
In total, I think "Schizophonic" for a successful solo album of Geri Halliwell with whom she has also come a long way. Pop albums, there are many in the music market, but here it is worth accessing. Check it out Boys and Girls.
