- Impressive theoretical at (1300 Mbps in 5GHz, 600 in 2.4).
- Practical Flow rates equally impressive with a router Netgear Router R7500-100PES Nigthhawk WiFi AC2350: I get a sustained 45 MB / s when copying large files from a USB drive connected to the router 3 to my PC ( a wall between the router and my PC keeps getting better).
- Simple installation (requires a screwdriver and 15 minutes)
- During installation, the CD is required to recover the pilots and the TP-LINK connection utility. Drivers are required (Windows 7 does not have the default). However, do not install the TP-LINK connection utility: it duplicates the Windows 7 and some commentators report that the connection is less stable.
- Works equally well on Windows 8 / 8.1.

This card provides the greatest possible wireless speeds to date (about 3 times better than the previous standard). This is particularly useful in the following cases:
- You have stored high-definition movies on a hard drive and you want to spread the WiFi on multiple devices (TV, PC, tablet), possibly simultaneously.
- You have several PC or MAC and want to make a regular backup of each on a central hard drive.
- You have several PC, Mac, tablet and want to transfer large files quickly from one to the other.
In all these cases, you need a router that supports 802.11ac standard (such as the Netgear R7500) and having USB3 or eSATA connectors. Then you plug a USB drive into one of the three USB ports on the router 3, or better yet, a NAS on a eSata port.
You then plug your box (free or otherwise) on the router.
You finally add an AC card like this in each of your PC. The transmission in all directions will be optimal.
TO NOTE:
- The band 5 GHz enables the highest rates but the scope is much lower than the 2.4 GHz band (this has nothing to do ave brands: it is a physical property of the waves). To achieve very good flow rates, the PC should be near the router and no wall should separate them.
- The orientation of the antenna makes a difference, both at the router and at the level of this card. In my case, it is when the antennas are placed perpendicular to the PC that the maximum flow.
- In all cases, a gigabit Ethernet connection will FASTER (but then you connect devices via a cable).
- This card requires a PCI Express port free. These are ports of two centimeters long about. In my case, my motherboard has two but one of the two is partly covered by my video card. Advice: make sure your PC has a PCI Express port free before buying this card.
