I use the LG as a screen for my computer. Therefore, I can not say much about his qualities as a smart TV. The functions to access the VideoOnDemand offer from Amazon Prime (eg. Series) are very clear and easy gestalltet. Connection via W-Lan was set up in 1min. When connected to the PC, one should note that you need a graphics card that gestatttet operating a 4K UHD screen via HDMI. Best read the datasheet graphics card manufacturer exactly. At first saw the colors not so prikelnd, but mittleriweile has turned out that it was just my imagination. In fact, the color of my previous screens were very poor, so the eye perceived it as strange. Also, one should thus get Computing at the first 2 days a little trouble with his eyes or maybe a slight headache. The eyes have to first get used to the immense resolution. After that never again experienced discomfort, as I said is initialy adjustment period. Anyone who wants to play movies can do that on NEN USB stick (Format: Matroska with H.264 goes splendidly) or übern PC play directly (via HDMI). But you have to very careful how to configure its decoder. Incorrect settings may cause flicker or get problems with the V-Sync. But I stress that this has NOTHING to do with the unit but has to do with the HDMI standard. The capacity of an HDMI cable is physically limited and 4K UHD requires very high data rates. There are minor flaws, as justified by the very favorable price MORE. Strong buy recommendation for all UHD-beginners and professionals :)
Notes: There is a fairly good calibration wizard, which helps the device to the individual preferences. However, the Wizard does not replace a crawler. Professionals in the field of pre-press and design should know that this is a device with no standardized automatic color calibration. For developers of games software or the LG is a blessing because it allows much Freheiten through the square (about 4x 1080p). Preview window or analysis tools will always find somewhere place;)
