First of all I can not praise highly the book. It is my feeling after, a solid novel, but quite a few more pages and some more information could have been tolerated. The protagonist Mia is a nice, young woman with a penchant for classical music - but I did not feel particularly deep, the portrayals of their character and nature. It remains, as many other characters in the book, always a little opaque in their emotions and choices and you always wonder about the motivation behind their thoughts and decisions. Furthermore, I was her boyfriend - Adam - does not inspire much. He is always there, but in his emotions but as invisible. The two are supposedly madly in love, but the feeling is, in my opinion, not the reader.
Nevertheless, there is some good pages in the book. These include Mia's grandfather, who gets admitted a short but very powerful performance and stands out as a strong character. For the corresponding conversation at such a difficult issue also makes her friend Kim, who brings fresh air into the novel and definitely is a magnetic personality.
In addition to these two actors, I also found the end very well. It's incredibly predictable, but nonetheless I welcome deeply the message that it carries.
All in all, the book is not a high-flyer and would certainly still potential open, but thanks to Kim and Mia's grandfather, he is quite worth reading.
