Right in the opener MILLION MILES AN HOUR becomes clear. Chad's voice is electronically modified, the whole song sounds like recorded by an electric filter, even when the guitars makes you wonder at times whether they come from the synthesizer. I was flabbergasted surprised had the song heard a few times, to make sure if something was not delivered wrong here. But no, clearly Nickelback, class. And so it goes on. Even the first single EDGE OF REVOLUTION brings change. Musically a typical Nickelback single will you look at the latest then wonder if you read the texts. So politically Nickelback were not yet in the song. Hats off! SHE KEEPS ME UP, the fans probably split into two camps, the song is Discofunk and only at the umpteenth time to hear clearly identified as Nickelback. The most striking change, however, the yes also runs through more than a song, is the use of keyboards. Every now and then a piano there was always so, but to no fixed address, it goes much much further. Almost everyone of midtempo songs and ballads contains synthesizer and is thus somewhat more pop. But what I really think the song WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, SATELLITE, MISS YOU AND THE HAMMERS coming down among the highlights of the album. Will be exciting to see how fans will find the front and all also how they want to implement live.
All in all a good Nickelback album which I would be really **** star. Some fans might be disappointed because there just are a few changes that are the album then probably worse rate at the beginning, but perhaps come a few weeks still to a more lenient sentence. I am concerned, however, the other way around, which is why in the overall one point on top of the courage :-)
