Therefore, I can not judge how much the band has also changed. I can only say that I am Metalfan that I do not like over-commercialization, but on the other hand still find good when there are bands that build bridges. Bands possibly can get a foot in the door to the diverse and magnificent Metal Universe by the "mainstream" -Hörer.
The sound of this album (and the outfit of the artist) reminds me very much of Chris Harms and his boys from "Lord Of The Lost", where the songs of BVB are much more melodic and catchy, and thereby also for the masses, which as I said for do not have to be necessarily bad. Even the voice of Andy Biersack reminded me of Chris Harms, with its singing for me has a higher bandwidth. But who knows Lotl halt, the likely just also like BVB.
"Wretched And Divine" I like not only because of the catchy melodies, but also because it is a concept album that tells me a story. Therefore, in contrast to the one or the other reviewers, I like the CD precisely because of the "Tell-Parts". Also I like the movie "Legion Of The Black", in which the songs of the CD have been integrated. Not only as a vile music video, but as part of a story. The rounds for me the concept of the album again from and seems so really thought through. The film there was probably, I think, as a DVD to a limited edition, but there are here at Amazon a downloadable version of the album, in which also the film is included ... ;ie=UTF8&qid=1413039113&sr=1-1&keywords=Wretched+and+Divine%3A+The+Story+Of+The+Wild+Ones+Ultimate+Edition+%5B%2Bvideo%5D+%5B%2Bdigital+booklet%5D
The individual songs, I do not want to further examine here, but the highlight of the album for me is of course clearly the previously mentioned should "Lost It All" also like "In The End" and all those who like it a little quieter.
I'd love to give 5 stars star, but one bothers me then anyway. It is indeed so that the song structures but are very similar and one in which one or another song says, to have heard it in advance.
Total hamben me BVB with this album convinced that their CDs can be an enriching my collection and I think I'm going to also set the forthcoming album. And open mind maybe even the two predecessors.
I admit, despite a star deduction for the CD a clear Kaufempfhelung.
