Assassin's Creed, as we know it

I've been playing here yesterday evening downloaded from Amazon and already played a few hours. Download and installation was quick and trouble-free, with just over 3 GB of memory requirements of the game falls but also from very small. The online compulsion comes here as usual in the form of UPlay without acount you can not start the game.

Before I play even dedicate a few words to me: Except for the previously latest offshoot of the series, Black Flag, I have played and enjoyed, although I never had the series more than liked all Assassin available for PC's Creed parts. In my opinion there is no Assassin's Creed is characterized by a particularly gripping story or lasting fun, even if the setting enthusiastic and the gameplay has always been very successful and the idea behind the game is just plain cool. Liberation I certainly have brought me mainly due to, compared to Black Flag, very low price.

Then the game. As the name suggests, the biggest difference is to be here in the bolstered graphic that is on the same level as Assassin's Creed III, significantly lags behind by Black Flag. Liberations has otherwise many parallels to the third part, the control and gameplay, the appearance of the environment and the overlays and the narrative style similar to that of its predecessor. Even the character, the young lady Aveline, lives between the world of noble white and colored slaves, similar to Connor.

In general, the game feels much like Assassin's Creed III, only the character and game world were exchanged. However, new and interesting gameplay elements were added, such as a change of role. Aveline can vekleiden as brave assassin, discreet slave or elegant lady thereby changing not only their appearance but also their behavior, their skills and their impact on others. So you can dressed up as Lady example not the usual run around on the roofs of the city, but be seduced example guards. In addition, all three wheels have individual awareness rates. While you can be searched by the guards as Assassin, is a slave but disguised not recognized.

The new weapons are interesting and the combat system plays well, though one quickly falls in a large number of clicking opponents in frantic rather than reliance on targeted attacks. As with other Assassin's Creed parts I would here like to see a little more freedom of decision and a slightly higher level of difficulty, a touch more Hitman speak.

Just as they are, the contracts often run very similar and even if I am not yet progressed very far in the game, it is probably a little bit missing after a time of variety, as with its predecessors. The story is not told well above average, why exactly do you do now, what you do is a not always very clear, a little more extensive dialogues have remedied. Maybe I'm just a little challenging because I currently also Bioshock Infinite and Beyond: Two Souls games, which can be very dialogue-heavy and complex in parts, if one takes the time to explore fully.

The synchronization is certainly good enough for my taste, even if the gestures and movements of the characters sometimes do not seem to fit so properly or simply fail to emotion. Music is also consistent, as well as the whole setting. The city sees those of Assassin's Creed III is very similar, but is less impressive. The swamps are similar to the wilderness from the predecessor, but make a pleasantly exotic impression and look good. Here you can also jump like with Connor through the trees and to create the wildlife, such as alligators.

Although the review may sound a bit negative, I find the game very well done, it's fun and who already liked the other parts of the Assassin's Creed series, or who the PS Vita version just will again play in good graphics, which should these part here liked. For Assassin's Creed Liberation HD plays out similar to Assassin's Creed III and awakens also the same game. Despite, for the series in my opinion typical weaknesses, the game has 4 stars absolutely deserved. And since the story practically not on the previous build (eg Desmond does not appear to, as far as I know), I would recommend it also for players who do not know the previous date.
