Display:
The resolution of the RT (HD LCD) is a little better than the TF300 (LED), but was noticeable, lies. The size is in two with 10.1 "Sufficient both W8RT for the desktop and the new surface.
Both automatically adjust the brightness, and the touch is working properly.
However, the RT also offers a scratch-resistant and more durable display, including a higher brightness.
Especially the last point an outdoor work, the TF300 allows limited.
Running Time:
Both tabs have been purchased with a dock, on the one hand because of the keyboard and the battery. In my opinion, the two hold the same through time. The only difference, Android may be a display the remaining period under W8 RT but not (???). In all two Li Polymer batteries are installed.
Camera:
Both have an 8MP camera (RT incl. Flash) on the back. The RT a 2MP camera and a TF300 1,2MP camera front.
Under RT an Asus camera software is installed that the same can as the Android (completely identical, also panoramic)
The only downside with the TF300 the defective Micro.
Even the autofocus works reasonably.
Processor and Memory:
Both tabs feature a quad-core (TF300 NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L 1.2GHz, RT ARM Cortex-A9 1.3 GHz), which is hardly noticeable difference, but it jerky when TF300 significantly more often.
The RAM is the RT twice as large 2GB, as the TF300 at 1GB, it also requires more, however, especially for large documents and games the 2 GB for a boost makes.
The internal memory is in an almost identical price at RT but 4x as large (64 GB, have more space films), the TF300, it is only 16GB. Both drop off about 10 GB for operating system and standard apps.
The memory can be both through microSD cards to expand at RT to 64 GB, the TF300 but only 32GB.
Communication:
Both have WIFI and Bluetooth (RT higher standard and NFC, TF300 for GPS).
micro HDMI and microUSB there at two, at RT the HDMI is however realized via the USB, it lie in an adapter through because you get an extra full USB port.
Audio outputs are also present in both, the RT can also infect a Micro.
In addition, the RT is the first tab that available with full LTE in Germany.
Processing Tab:
The RT is processed as high quality as the TF300, it has an aluminum back and therefore dissipates heat better, the display and the setting also sits better. (When TF300 could push in and sharp edges). The speakers are at the two tablets poorly positioned exactly where it is thought. Personally, I go at TF300 from primarily a key by which one arrives at the home screen, the RT no problem.
In summary, one can say that the RT has an improved body compared to the TF300.
Dock + processing:
The dock and the battery was a must for me (a prolific writer). The layout is the same, except for the function keys (F ... + Windows + Fn) at RT the keystroke heat dissipation For is pleasant, and as with the Tab even better. Software:
At first I was shocked by W8RT, but with time I got used to it, especially on the new surface. True, with the normal .exe does nothing, yet you will find almost everything for an app (Only slowly more). But the big advantage over the TF300 the RT is the Office package from Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) with which you can work really productive. I have not had a problem with the operation via touch until now. Also W8RT has only one 1/2 Flash Player because it fully supported html5, (same as iPad), even if there is already some sites that support HTML5, most still use Flash (dangerous). Concerning security, the RT has also in the lead, because it is the Windows Defender installed, and allows only certain flashes in Desktop mode (black list).
In Android you have on the other hand purchase / install an antivirus program.
Another advantage is that W8RT is further developed by Windows (the date of publication, it charges itself down), unlike Android, which has to be adapted from ASUS (if at all available after a few months.
But Android has a larger app selection that leaves nothing to be desired, and can also be easily connected to the smartphone.
Conclusion:
I kept my VivoTab RT because it suits my needs. Especially with word processing programs because the RT is one step ahead.
But it is up to you for what he decides.
