At last - a song-selection from their regular LPs

... And no further compilation of their famous hits.
Maybe I'm the only one who has all of their regular LPs to CD. These are so good that I'm surprised that they were so far no subsequent glory (like Abba) bestowed!
Boney Ms original works:
- "Love for Sale": More gold used by the second disc of the same title song and "Motherless Child".
- "Boononoonos": "We kill the world", a superb Caribbean dance record, including with metal percussion and catchy tunes.
- "Kalimba la Luna": "Going Back West", "Calendar Song", "Children of Paradise". "Kalimba la Luna" was a similar exotic production fully Jamaican flair, good songwriting and voiced choruses.
- "Oceans of Phantasy": "Bahama Mama", the title song, "I`m Born Again" and "Ribbons of Blue" comes from their 4th plate. This LP - from the Superstar era - perhaps their masterpiece. Sound technology and variety of instruments (flutes, strings) was difersifizierter.
- "100000 Lightyears": "Jimmy", a lovingly and expensively produced LP. Aufgeommen years after its hey-day period. Frank Farian Boney M and just wanted to again make music that makes them fun and knew it was not a commercial success in the market longer. On "100000 Lightyears" Bobby Farrell really and not Frank Farian singing as Double.
- "Eye Dance": Well, the last regular LP from 1985 is represented with "My Cherie Amour" and "Dreadlock Holiday". From the original cast was hardly anyone there.
- The debut "Take the Heat of me" (1976) and "Nightflight to Venus" (1978) was not used. Too bad. "More Gold" has indeed only 77 minutes. One could of further LP titles easy nor a "More Gold II" compile.
- "More Gold" offers even more: A remix of "Ma Baker" and 4 unknown songs from the nineties. In particular, Liz Mitchell ballads "Time to Remeber" and "Lady Godiva" are nice surprises. The others like them less. And a booklet with photos and background information.
My buying motive were the unpublished songs and "Going Back West", "Children of Paradise" & "We Kill the World".
Perhaps their regular LPs one day come out with bonuses, unreleased B-sides and lost Maxi-LP versions. Because I did not want to wait that long, I have (except "Eye Dance") nevertheless bought myself.
- I mean, moreover, that a DVD with their best-known performances is a journey back to his own childhood, about her first appearance with "Daddy Cool" in the music store. Younger listeners of today might taste their selected costumes like you.
Not before and not after having a band can post as many high chart quotations from Germany, especially in the UK. Außereuropa Boney M. had some success in Latin America. In the US, it would (like Abba) not fold.
