Considering only the brightness, then keep these LEDs comparing with 40W halogen lamps stood loosely, but they flicker very uncomfortable. For residential premises is absolutely not recommended. Even in the hallway, I find it hard to bear. If you move the hand one recognizes clearly a very unpleasant strobing, indicating that the voltage is only reduced but not rectified.
I have other LEDs in use, in which no flicker is visible. So there is another way.
