Sharp and Bright and price value, but not compact

I have ordered the Zeiss 1.4 / 24 mm more on a whim, because I do not need it, because I use Olympus OM and Leica Summilux lenses on the Sony Nex 5N class sensor.
My focus is taking pictures with full aperture - I hide from only if it requires the subject mandatory.
After the first try and compare against my Summilux but then I was surprised, the Zeiss is virtually the same level and has a fantastic sharpness and drawing sharp-unsharp separation.
And it has over Leica still a huge advantage, magnification 1: 4 and even with AF.
Although I am using the AF of Nex cameras still far from satisfactory, because the neuesete firmware version still causes many blurry shots of still subjects which would have to be sharp simple - but that applies to all lenses.
The AF control the Olympus Pen and Panasonic G cameras, however error-free and fast.

I find the 1.8 / 24 mm is often used times wrong - it is a highly fast aperture wide-angle reportage for every day and for special light and is characterized by a particular color and image reproduction rather than through bone-dry sharpness.
A lens for landscape and architecture, it is not - it also Nex cameras are not made!
Some test results that prove his lack of resolution I can not understand - for me one of the comparison.
About the price is much grumbling, wrongly in my opinion. It can not be compared with high-telephoto lenses for 300, since the construction is in WW-area are more difficult, especially with this light intensity. Measured by more than 3 times as expensive, but mechanically much aufwenigeren and compact Leica - it is even very inexpensive.
For the Nex there are no better lens. I use it together with the 1.8 / 50 mm and the Tamron 18-200mm VC - with whom I am very satisfied.
I'm curious how long the smooth version remains scratch-free.
