The album is in fact more versatile than its predecessor, but there is also partly the problem. A few of the Beats listening for my taste simply too simple and cheap, downright Neptunes-moderate. "Hot sauce to go" was even produced by these same and featured Pharell - for me one of the weak points of the album. But Black Key ("What you so mad at?" And "I'm goin back") and Neo.Com ("Bring You Down" and "Air It Out") rely on such jingling and rather shallow beats, the Tracks latter may still be described as quite successful. Even the bubble sound on "Shine" rather annoying and does not really fit to Jadakiss, but much better to Snoop, which is also featured here.
Too bad that these few less successful Sounds prevent the album is a real milestone for reifen.Denn almost the entire rest of the album convinces fully. "Time's Up" is a typical killer Scott Storch production with brilliant piano and a strong Nate Dogg. "Why" was one of the hip-hop hits 2004 with very controversial and honest lyrics, a fantastic Havoc beat and ingenious chorus of Anthony Hamilton. "U Make Me Wanna" was very successful, at least in the States and I like although more focused on commercial (Mariah Carey) very well. "Shootouts" for me is next to "Why" the album highlight and was produced by increasingly sophisticated elite - goose bumps guaranteed atmosphere and more surprised I was that the track does not seem to be based on a sample - top performance!
The Jada not only shines on hard beats, quieter prove, yet not so cheesy sounding compositions like "Real Hip Hop", "By Your Side" and the again brilliant alchemist production "Still feel me". The Kanye West track "Gettin it in" is average and at the end there again proven the dark sounds on "Welcome to D-Block" (Eminem) and finally the brilliant title-Track.Mal again a typical fat Red Spyder production and as always strong rap parts of Jadakiss.Die he controls mostly at well aleine, other than those already mentioned only three times his Lox crew are featured, which can only be beneficial safely.
To sum up: A very strong album that unfortunately suffers among the few mentioned, improper weak tracks - therefore only 4.5 stars.
Still, he would have deserved undoubtedly a major commercial success.
