After a memorable start the series "Blacksad" quickly showed its limitations related to the inability of Díaz Canales overcome the clichés of classic noir novel, and especially to build really interesting stories. We therefore stayed true to the series primarily by admiration for the graphic Guarnido, gorgeous, even occasionally staggering. "Amarillo" without really change things, marks an evolution, since history, rather awkwardly moreover, the shape of a road movie delusional and slice with everything "Blacksad" has been so far. References to the Beat Generation and Kerouac therefore Díaz Canales pushed in another direction, quite commendable, although the multiplication of some absurd plot twists, and a conclusion frustrating defuse somewhat the interest of "Amarillo". Graphically, it is this time color processing that appeals most, while, paradoxically, the line Guarnido is a little less tidy, easier than usual. In any case, this attempt - even without fulfillment - renewal again stirs our curiosity. So we will be waiting for you for Volume 6.
