The chairs are assembled and had only one great original Kettler-packaging (the same transport packaging is) and a plastic bag to be freed. The aluminum parts are protected by foam sheet. Unpacking - done!
Looking more closely, however, we had to find a flaw in the textile covering 2 of 4 chairs. Clearly visible from a distance. So the two chairs packed away. At the 3rd chair then the absolute quality no-go. At the lower end of the stool, where the plastic foot is inserted, a rusty degree. The plastic part was probably hammered "fit" into the aluminum frame inside and gaped now wrong in the chair leg. This chair, we then returned also to Amazon.
3 of 4 chairs with considerable quality defects is a quality product "Made in Germany" is not just a good yield. Therefore, please look to the delivery your garden furniture, this meticulously against manufacturing defects by.
If one then takes a seat on the garden chairs, one is transported to another world. I've never been on a more solid and more comfortable garden chair. In addition, the chairs look very elegant and chic in comparison to the usual DIY store goods. There are between simple worlds. Strong buy recommendation if you have received for non-defective goods. EDIT after nearly 2 years:
The chairs were a whole summer with us on the terrace. Without cover and south sides. One would think that products that are made for the garden may also be installed in the garden. After last summer, I stored the chairs then in our garden hut to protect them against the cold weather of winter.
Unfortunately, all plastic backrests and caps were so faded and color drained that one might think the chairs stands for 10 years on our terrace. We have no nuclear power stations in the vicinity and no acid rain, the ozone hole has not the size as about Australia - so ordinary conditions that should withstand a garden chair.
Then I complained about the chairs at Kettler in the warranty period. They apologized and sent me new backs and caps to. Would be a one-off material error. Now I'm building this summer the new Sit and caps on the chairs and will hope that these retain the color.
Due to further quality problems I step down to 2 stars.
